Day 19

Poor little guy. Yesterday afternoon/evening, and last night, were rough. He had a little bit of a fever and was generally feeling crummy. He hardly wanted to eat anything all day, and was napping only fitfully, but a late nap in the evening revitalized him enough to wolf down a big serving of sweet potatoes quite happily. Then he had a nice bath and got ready for bed. I've been brushing his teeth for him and then letting him hold the toothbrush himself for a little while (NOT allowed to walk around with it, however), which he thinks is great fun. After story time it was off to sleep, but only briefly; he & I were up most of the night out on the couch. I'm pretty sure he's cutting his first set of baby molars. Which means we've got...how many more nights of this to look forward to?

Well, if it's too early for molars, then I'm not sure what's going on with him.

It's not too early for molars. Generally they start at about a year, but all kids are different. If you aren't sure, stick your finger back there and feel for swelling...they also like the massaging of the gums. :) Good luck, in all reality, the eye teeth hurt the worse!

Desiree - Yeah, the problem is that his gums have always felt lumpy-bumpy to me, so I hadn't been able to feel any difference. But as of this morning there is definitely some tooth coming through on the upper right hand side. So there you go!

Amy - He looks adorable always :)
