Tuesday morning we had another playgroup at the library. The theme was RED. We came dressed in red, and the kids had a bunch of red toys to play with. Here's the red-clad lad playing with a red barn.
It was another single-nap day with a long stretch of sleeping at night. He was out (with one very brief interruption) from 8:20-4:00 on the dot. And then up til 5:15. Well, I got him back to sleep by 4:30, on the couch with me, but as soon as I tried to put him back in his crib he was awake and chipper again. Ditto half an hour later. Finally had to resort to bringing him back to our bed, where he flopped around for another 15 minutes or so and then fell asleep. Blagh.
In weaning news, he's down to nursing just once a day, in the early morning (usually after 5 or 6, when I just need that little extra bit of sleep). He seems to have settled on rice milk as his breastmilk substitute of choice. He happily guzzles that stuff down, while he turns his nose up at cow milk & soy. So that's good.
