Yesterday was Halloween. Tom & Soren had their last swimming lesson in the morning, and Eleri played and ate finger foods while I worked on the super long photo catchup post below. Later in the afternoon, we put the kids in their lamb & sheepdog costumes and headed out to run a couple of errands.
Before dinner, I dragged my lazy butt down to the gym, where I did circuits. Three sets, each consisting of: 5 minutes on the treadmill, 10 leg raises, 10 reps each on the incline press (27.5 lbs) and lat pull (60 lbs), and then 10 reps each with barbells doing bicep curls (10 lbs) and overhead presses (8 lbs for the first 2 sets, and then 6 lbs for the last set). (Detailed description for my own future reference, and not because I expect you to care.)
After dinner, it was time for trick-or-treaters to arrive. We put the kids back in their costumes, and Soren was super happy about greeting everyone who came to the door. Toward the end of the evening, he took it upon himself to personally distribute the candy, putting handfuls in each bag and bucket presented to him. It was quite cute. ("I need to feed them!" he said several times.)
Less cute was the whining and SADSADsadness when we were unable to make more people in amusing costumes appear on demand. He also didn't understand why no one was coming inside to play with him. Hehe.
All in all, a pretty good day and evening. :)
